Ipl Laser Hair Removal
What is IPL Laser Hair Removal?
Laser and IPL hair removal are both increasingly popular methods of hair reduction. Prices of alternative hair removal methods such as waxing, threading, and electrolysis are gradually increasing and have unpleasant side effects such as ingrown hairs and painful methodology. Laser and IPL treatments have fantastic, long-term results, and don’t have the unpleasant and painful side effects that other hair removal techniques have.

During an IPL treatment, a broad-spectrum beam of light is guided over the skin. This intense light source targets areas of high pigmentation (such as a hair follicle and the bulge). The light energy is absorbed by areas of high pigment located in the hairs, where it transfers as heat energy. The heat energy destroys the hair and severely damages the follicle and the bulge – also essential in the reproduction of hairs. These blasts of heat inhibit the growth of the hair, shrink the follicle, and eventually destroy it permanently, thus, resulting in the loss of hair growth from that area.

All areas can be treated as can all skin types for all genders and all nationalities.
We offer gift vouchers in various denominations, making them the ideal gift for both men and women.
Women can develop excessive body or facial hair due to higher-than-normal levels of androgen hormones. These hormones include testosterone and androstenedione. All individuals produce androgens, but these levels typically remain low in individuals assigned female at birth. This, however, is not always the case.
WE HAVE 9 YEARS' EXPERIENCE treating facial hair problems, including those associated with polycystic ovary syndrome and hirsutism, both of which result in excessive hair growth. We are also adept at managing and removing facial hair for peri-menopausal and menopausal women.
For clients transitioning, again, due to the introduction and sustained use of hormones, your treatment plan will differ. We have special rates for our transitioning clients as this is a lifelong commitment for some, depending on your prescribed hormone dosage, regular or irregular usage and aftercare. Again, you can obtain some funding through THE GID or NHS.
As with all of our treatments, we always take into account your medical history and clients who present with medical problems will be advised accordingly on the best course of action. In cases such as these, the required amount of sessions is higher. Again, we will advise you of this at your consultation.
We accept NHS funding for laser hair removal, although please be aware in some cases the NHS will only fund a set amount of sessions. If you need any help with the application for IPL, please EMAIL the clinic. We will only be able to respond to you via email.
Laser hair removal, regardless of which laser is used, is the best way to control unwanted hair. As we are all genetically different, some clients experience regrowth/residual hair regrowth sooner than others, especially clients with PCOS or other underlying medical conditions mentioned above. The average client can expect to have a couple of top-up sessions, anywhere from 12 months to 3 years later. For clients with NO medical conditions, if you are to experience any regrowth, you have an 8-week window in which to advise us. After this time the full cost of any treatment applies. The longer it is left, the stronger the cell regeneration process becomes. For clients WITH underlying medical conditions, again your laser hair treatment course is tailored specifically to you for maximum results.
IPL for men is becoming increasingly popular. Men tend to have much thicker hair and more of it. As such, 10 sessions are required in any area – most need only 8 sessions but we advise a minimum of 10 to be on the safe side and to manage your expectations. IPL is a great way to remove unwanted body hair permanently and in turn, this will help you define your physique!
