I am a little behind on the blogging and podcasting schedules, but better late than never!!. So much has been happening here at The LAB. The biggest thing this month is that The LAB celebrates 9 years in providing excellence in cosmetic laser treatments, aesthetics and holistic approaches to our ageing process.

It has been quite the journey, and there have been many highs and lows along the way!

The clinic started from very humble beginnings in a cupboard under some stairs in my ex husbands tattoo studio. I started by removing tattoos, and eventually branched out into laser hair removal, the rest is history. The LAB has steadily grown and expanded into other areas including body sculpting and aesthetics, and more recently, the emphasis has naturally progressed into deeply grounding practice centred around a 360 degree approach to our ageing process.

I also qualified as a menopause coach, a subject dear to my heart. Not only because I am peri menopausal and have struggled hugely with my hormones from an early age, but to be of service to my beautiful clients and followers to help them successfully navigate their own journeys. This aspect of the services I offer is continues to grow and develop, and this year saw the introduction of The Secret Garden Sauna and Cold Plunge. Now highly recognised in the medical community for its regenerative benefits, infrared therapy is rapidly becoming known as "miracle medicine" Contrast therapy is a huge buzz word and our sauna and plunge offers all the major benefits including reducing inflammation, boosting mitochondria, balancing and regulating the endochrine system (hormones) improved lymphatic drainage (flushing of toxins) and deep tissue repair.

I am almost obessed with how we are ageing and the implications for women as we transition into our "elder phase" The more I look, the more there is to learn. At times it feels overwhelming as I try to hone in on what is important, not just aesthtically and physically, but menatlly and spiritually too. I have been exploring many avenues in menopuase management, including the essentials such as diet and nutrition, supplements, holistic therapies such as reflexology and reiki, as well as what is actually beneficial in the aesthetics world too.

Menopause is a huge topic. Huge. I hope the information I share on socail media is helpful in guiding my lovely followers on their journies. I try to share as much honest information as I can, including unfiltered posts about what my journey looks like, as well as things that I have found to be super beneficial for symptom management. The second part of 2025 is all about grounding into the leaps and changes that have been implemented since January. The sauna is such a wonderful asset to the business, and provides a great opprotunity for anyone serious about future-proofing their aging process, both inside and out! As I mentioned I am behind on the podcast schedule. This is because I was struggling to find subjects that really aligned with this chapter and who I wanted to work with. She is a huge influence to me and her teachings on the wild woman ways, reclaiming ourselves and standing in our power and how we write this very special next chapter of our lives are very sacred and deeply rooted in divine feminine and masculine.
