Which Hollywood Celebs Love Their Carbon Laser Facial (Also Known as the 'Hollywood' Peel)?

When scanning the glossy pages of magazines or scrolling through celebrity Instagrams, it's easy not to become despondent or even questioning when seeing perfect bodies, clear and supple skin, bright white teeth, shiny voluminous hair, and everything in-between. What do celebrities do to stay looking young and fresh (even those who have gone well past fifty!)? Often, behind the scenes, celebrities get the latest and hottest beauty treatments and the newest craze is the Carbon Laser Facial, also known as a Hollywood Peel.

Which celebrities are known for getting the carbon laser facial (or Hollywood Peel)?

A-list celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Aniston swear by this anti-ageing, skin-rejuvenating treatment.

It's speculated that celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Gwenyth Paltrow also have this treatment (or similar treatments) too!

What is a carbon laser facial (Hollywood peel)?

A carbon laser facial reduces skin problems like acne, hyperpigmentation, and signs of ageing. The treatment makes the skin brighter, more even, clearer, and smoother. It's non-invasive and there's no healing or downtime required. Which means you can grab a facial during your lunch hour and still meet your friend for coffee without an unsightly red face!

The laser creates controlled thermal damage to the skin. This controlled damage stimulates the skin's natural healing processes, which causes collagen, elastin, and fibroblasts to rejuvenate.

The treatment can reduce fine lines and wrinkles as well as blemishes. The heat shrinks pores and destroys acne membranes, reducing the inflammation caused by acne.

How much does a carbon laser facial cost?

For those A-listers, this treatment might set them back $200-300 or more per treatment, but at NU-U Laser and Aesthetics, you'll only be charged the bargain price of £70 per treatment.

The treatment works best if you have a series of four treatments; however, you can use this as a one-off treatment if you like.

What does a carbon laser facial feel like?

The carbon laser facial is not painful but a carbon mask is applied to the skin. Then, a laser is passed over the skin which burns away the mask. The laser zaps the mask and it can feel like a tiny pin-prick. Some clients do not mind the sensation and do not find it painful, but others, whilst they don't find it painful, do not like the sensation. When the laser hits the skin, you can smell the mask burning off the face, sort of like a match, so it comes with a zapping sensation and a smell!

If you don't like the sound of the carbon laser facial, there's an alternative: the Omni hydra-facial, which has many of the same results but uses various cleansers and acids to achieve results.

Those that swear by carbon facials, though, absolutely love them and come back again and again. The results really do speak for themselves!
